The Dockyard

The Dockyard, situated on the banks of the River Thames, can be found in the southern part of Brentford, Middlesex. Built in the 1970’s and once a working dock, it is now one of London’s undiscovered treasures.

The marina itself is populated with classic and modern boats, and the green riverside access makes for an easily accessible, film friendly location.

The site is extremely versatile; next to the riverside, there is a vacant (former) bar and cafe which is an attractive option for productions to use both for filming and support space, an added bonus in there are no restrictions on dressing. The location’s residential block with its grey courtyards, underpasses, underground garages and car parks make for a great London housing estate double.

There is also an adjacent large, distressed warehouse. The space offers a unique backdrop for stills photography and advertising campaigns looking for a gritty or industrial aesthetic. It could also double up as production support space for larger or longer-term hires.

The area is well served by transport links, being conveniently situated for access to the M4 and M3 as well as public transport. The roads surrounding the area can also be controlled for filming.

The Dockyard is currently available for long-term and short-term hires. If you would like more information or to talk to one of our Account Managers, then please get in touch.
