The Challenge:

The Queen Elizabeth II Centre is the largest conference and exhibition space in central London. As their exclusive film agency partner, Location Collective were tasked with finding ways to generate replacement revenue through film industry hires during the pandemic, during which time the events industry was seriously impacted.

Solution

Between 2020-2021, Location Collective generated a series of short-term filming hires with a variety of iconic productions including The Crown, Great Expectations, Trigger Point and The Capture. The site has been a popular choice due to its state of the art facilities, versatile spaces and stunning backdrops.

As availability windows for film and television projects have narrowed with events resuming at pre-pandemic levels, the Location Collective team has worked closely with the venue’s on-site events team to ensure that we continue to maximise film industry opportunities as a supplementary revenue stream, strategically filling voids in the venue’s events calendar to occupy under-utilised space to its fullest potential.
