The Challenge

Location Collective are proud to represent key, London landmark sites within the British Land portfolio including Broadgate (Broadgate Tower, Exchange House and Exchange Square), Paddington Central , Regent’s Place and – until recently when it went into redevelopment – the vacant former Nicholls and Clarke building in Shoreditch.

Many of these sites come with a number of logistical challenges. The buildings are usually high specification, with potential for any damage caused to be very costly. Many are also operational office sites with blue chip tenants who demand minimal disruption during business hours.

Solution

Location Collective work side by side with the British Land commercialisation and site teams, with our designated British Land Account Managers regularly carrying out filming recces at each asset, competing the paperwork and permits required for filming to go ahead, and co-ordinating the booking of British Land contractors required on filming days, including electricians, escalator engineers, lift engineers and security. In order to ensure minimal disruption, filming hires are organised on weekends and during nights, outside of office hours.

In order to protect each building from potential damage, each filming production is required to provide detailed filming intentions. A large deposit is held from each production in case of damage, and their public liability insurance is checked and held on file. A Location Collective site liaison supervises each filming day.

In less than three years, we have secured significant revenue working in collaboration with the British Land commercialisation team, with key assets taking centre stage in high profile productions such as Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, Mission: Impossible Fallout, Lucky Man, Humans, Good Omens and Mother Father Son.
