Terms and Conditions

Attendance

Students agree to attend in person all course weekends.  If unable to attend a weekend due to ill health, work commitments or unavoidable personal commitments students agree to notify the ALMT course leaders at the earliest opportunity.

 

Payment

In order to secure a place on the ALMT Course, full payment for the course must be received by Location Collective Ltd no later than 18th October 2023.

 

Confidentiality

Students agree to keep all personal information shared on the course confidential.  This includes but is not limited to students’, lecturers’ and mentors’ email addresses, phone numbers and home addresses.  

Students also agree not to disclose information shared on the ALMT Course, including but not limited to information on Productions (Films, TV Drama, TV shows, Commercial’s, Live Events) that the students, mentors and lecturers have in the past, or are currently working on.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the current Data Protection Acts regulate our use of personal data. It is our responsibility to ensure that the personal data we process in relation to attendees is done so in accordance with the required principles. Any data held shall be processed fairly and lawfully and in accordance with the rights of data subjects.

We comply with the eight data protection principles in the DPA, which specify that personal data must be: 

  • Processed fairly and lawfully; 
  • Processed for limited purposes and in an appropriate way; 
  • Adequate, relevant, and not excessive for the purpose; 
  • Accurate; 
  • Not kept longer than necessary for the purpose; 
  • Processed in line with individuals’ rights; 
  • Secure; and  
  • Not transferred to people or organisations situated in countries without adequate protection

We will usually only process personal data where consent has been given or where the processing is necessary to comply with our legal obligations. We will not keep your personal data for longer than is necessary for a purpose. This means that data will be destroyed or erased from our systems when it is no longer required.

Harassment & Bullying

Location Collective & the ALMT course aims to provide a learning environment free from harassment and bullying, and to ensure all students are treated, and treat others, with dignity and respect.  If you feel you are being harassed or bullied by any person involved in the ALMT course please contact course Leaders Lottie Mason or Harriet Lawrence. 

Cancellation

If due to Covid-19, there is another government lockdown during the course, we will do our utmost to continue running the course by moving it online and / extending the dates so that the practical course elements can take place once lockdown lifts.  Students will always be consulted and the group opinion will be taken into account.  

In the event of a guest lecturer or speaker being unable to attend and teach the course, ALMT course leaders will do their utmost to find a replacement to ensure the course still continues on the stated dates.  If new dates do have to be considered, the course leaders will consult all students before amending the dates.
